5th Class Trail!

Our 5th class also took part in the history trail on Friday, and were superb at it! We joined up with 5th Class ‘Scoil ChaoimhĂn’ and 1st year class in Larkin Community College. Eddie told us that there is a garden on top of the GPO and this is the only garden on O Connell street! Thanks Eddie for that information – none of the teachers knew this!

We had a good time with the first years and other fifth class and we made new friends. It was fun doing the trail. We learned lots about history and saw the bullet holes in the GPO and the Irish flag on the top of it. We saw that O’Connell St was Sackville St and saw old photos of it. We saw the statue of Jim Larkin and noticed that the Larkin school crest is based on the statue.
We would love to do another trail sometime.
