Rutland National School was established in 1910 on Rutland Street. In December 2008 we moved around the corner to a brand new state of the art building at the junction of Sean McDermott St and Lower Gloucester Place. We are lucky to share the rutland-architect-dublin-1building with the Holy Child Preschool who occupy the ground floor. Our school has a rich history – it was responsible for the hugely successful Give Up Yer Aul Sins recordings in the 1960’s. We are a Catholic school under the patronage of the Archbishop of Dublin, but welcome pupils of all faiths and nationalities. Rutland N.S. is a mixed school catering for girls and boys from Junior Infants to Sixth Class. Situated in the heart of the North East Inner City we have a thriving school population, with a current enrolment of 160 children. We offer a highly trained staff of 16 teachers, 5 Special Needs Assistants and a dedicated Special Educational Team. Some of the things we offer include:

  • After school clubs
