Busy learning in Junior Infants

Junior Infants have had a busy week this week, full of exciting, experiential learning – exploring the inside of an ambulance and learning about all the work of paramedics; attending a numeracy event at Charleville Mall Library, where we got to examine photographs that were 105 years old; and enjoying maths activities with some parents at Maths for Fun!

Specsavers!

Junior Infants have been learning about the opticians this month and we had the wonderful opportunity to bring this learning to life at Specsavers in the GPO Arcade last week – we got to test each other’s eye sight, try out different lenses, feel contact lenses, and even got to look inside ears and do hearing tests!

The Moving Crib

Junior Infants had a great time exploring all the scenes at The Moving Crib on Parnell Square this morning – with some spontaneous carol singing en route!

Junior Infants’ trip to the GPO

After learning all about the post office this month, we decided to walk down to the GPO and post a class letter to Santa while we were at it. We enjoyed all the Christmas decorations we spotted along the way!

Junior Infants had such a lovely, festive visit to Charleville Mall Library this week, where Anne, the librarian, read us two stories, let us explore all the books and do some colouring to decorate their Christmas tree!
