About the School

Rutland NS is a vertical school which caters for girls & boys from Junior Infants to 6th class. The school is designated disadvantaged under DEIS band 1. Rutland NS has a Catholic ethos and is under the patronage of the Archbishop of Dublin, Diarmuid Martin. Class starts at 8.45am and finishes at 2.25pm.   Infant classes finish at 1.25pm.

Parents are requested to make enrolments for Junior Infants no earlier than two years in advance. Prospective parental enquiries will be dealt with by the school secretary.  Initially parents will be invited to complete an Application for Enrolment form, giving details about their child. Enrolment applications will be processed in late January/early February of the year of requested enrolment.

Priority is given to children who have siblings in the school and those whose parents are past pupils of the school. After this children who have attended the Holy Child Preschool downstairs are considered. For further details, see the enrolment policy under ‘Policies’ webpage.
