It is hard to believe we are almost halfway through the year. Junior infants have settled into ‘big school’ so well. Ms. Bermingham is so proud of them and how much they have learned so far. This month, we learned all about the North and South Poles. We were Polar Explorers in our role play corner where we travelled to the Arctic/Antarctic. We made igloos with our blocks and sensory snow. We also played with water and did some floating and sinking experiments. The children have learned so many new words relating to our Polar theme, like “hatch”, “huddle”, “flipper”, “frost”, and “waddle.” It is great to hear them using them in class with one another.

We were so excited to get hot lunches this month and the boys and girls are loving them! They get so excited for lunchtime! We also celebrated Stephen’s birthday this month and surprised him by singing ‘Happy Birthday’ and┬ámaking him lovely birthday cards.
