The children from 4th and 5th class braved the wintry conditions yesterday and reached the semi-finals of the Lord Mayor’s Cup. Unfortunately they were beaten by St. Laurence O’ Tooles and just missed out on the bronze medal. The boys and girls did the school proud and performed brilliantly in all five events – soccer, penalties, running, basketball and wall-climbing.
We certainly have some fantastic athletes in our school and there’s no doubt we’ll be in the hunt for the medals again next year. The future of sport in Rutland NS is looking extremely bright. Well done to everyone involved!
