Fifth class were using clay last week in school. It was part of an art lesson linked to a religion lesson and good fun.
First we rolled the clay into balls and then we flattened it to make it soft.
Then we all thought of an idea that we would like to make with the clay. We all came up with great ideas.
After that we started to shape the clay into pencils holders, ashtrays, faces, bowls and vases.
Next we let them dry on the counter for two days.
Eventually we painted them with bright colours and we let them dry again.
Finally we are allowed to bring them home today. But we have taken a photo to show you how good they turned out.
We had loads of fun with clay, we are glad they turned out very well. We hope we can use clay again.
