Wahoo!! Rutland NS played superbly today and won (by a not-so-tight margin!!!) against Dublin 7 Educate Together school. We were so happy to win as the last few games didn’t go our way. Hard luck to the other team. It was nice to see the sportsmanship at the end when the two teams shook hands and wished each other well. Here are some photos of the action…….

- Aaron on the move!
- Mark tackling!
- Mark before he scores a point!
- Whopper goal by Mark

The children of 6th Class made their Confirmation on the 12th June. We were honoured to be joined by the Archbishop Diarmuid Martin on the day. The sun was shining and the children all looked beautiful. The next morning we went to ‘The Pantry’ for breakfast and got our photographs taken in the school.
Now that we have graduated we are looking forward to our summer holidays and making the big move to secondary school in September. Thank you to everyone in Rutland NS for all of your help and support over the years. We are very sad to leave but excited about the future!
Best Wishes,
6th Class
Well done to all of the children in sixth class who held their Service of Light and Enrolement Ceremony today. Everybody took part in their readings and prayers really well. It was great to have our parents, guardians and sponsors involved as well. Now we really can’t wait for our Confirmation day! Big thanks to Father Tim for all of his help today 🙂
Volunteers from ESB take part in the inaugural ‘ESB Engineering Squad’. The initiative, which is part of Engineers Week 2014, aims to promote engineering as a career choice by showcasing personal experiences of engineering and highlighting the critical role of engineering in society to school children across Ireland. Niall from ESB kindly came in to talk with us as part of engineers week. He shared interesting facts about his job and we were very jealous to hear that he gets to travel a lot with his job- to Africa and the Middle East! It was a very informative talk. Well done to everyone who asked questions and listened so well.
